Rev. Stephen Nation
Pastor and Chaplain
Stephen Nation, an Oklahoma native, received his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs. His graduate degree in Human Resource Administration was earned in 2003 from East Central University in Ada, OK.
Rev. Nation was ordained in 1989 in Mobile, AL. His ministry has included assignments in Alabama, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. While primarily pastoring, Stephen ministered in Mississippi and Louisiana with a Christian non-profit for nearly four years following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Pastor Nation has also been the guest speaker for several national and international events with the distinct privilege to be invited as the guest speaker for the first nationally-lead Nazarene crusade in Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea.
During his 11 ½ year pastorate in Ada, OK, Pastor Nation served as a commissioned chaplain to the Ada Police Department as well as volunteering with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. In addition to his current pastoral duties, Stephen also serves as a commissioned chaplain for both the Grove Police Department and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
Stephen married his high school sweetheart, Gina Martin, in 1982. They have two grown children: daughter Cara Hobbs and her husband Daniel who live in Tulsa; son Austin Nation and his wife Amanda who live near Joplin, MO.
